I was wondering if anyone else is having a Halloween marathon festival.
There is going to be one that I know of and to be held at the New York State Museum. They are having such classics as:

The Horror of Dracula (1958)
Carnival of Souls (1962)
The Haunting (1963)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)

These are great an fun is had by all with costume contests, trivia, classic trailers and more.

We're not doing a festival, per se, but we are premiering a locally made film called "The River of Dread." It's a spoof/tribute on the '50's era scifi/horror genre. We're planning to make quite the event out of it. Limos, red carpet treatment, etc. At a midnight show, to boot. It should be a lot of fun. We also participate with our downtown merchants association in hosting the town's annual costume contest for the kids. All the downtown stores hand out treats. This is especially great for the little kids; a very safe environment for them.

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year.
