Great looking theater!
Quentin: Of course a woman is going to kill me. I wouldn't have it any other way!

This theater is beautiful and well maintained. But reality is 595,000 for a twin in a small town has to be reduced by almost half or this theater will remain for sale for years to come!
The longer it sits empty the less desire it will show to intersted parties.

$595K gets you a:

Restored 2-screen cinema,

The parking lot next door,

Approved expansion plans for 2-more screens,

A new pedestrian foot bridge on to your property,

A second floor full of office space to lease out,

Another street level store front.

Please contact the owner before trashing him on his own forum.

Sorry, JACKER, but until you have examined this theater in detail and entirely, you can't value it... It may very well be an excellent buy at the asking price, or worth even more... Nothing is cast in stone...

I was not trashing, there are some people on here who bark all the time and can't answer a question without being nasty!
I said the theatre was nice and in now way putting down, but lets face reality and stop kissing up, there is no way in hell he is getting that price.
I was there a few years ago and saw the theatre and yes it is worth every penny but not in a small town like that dealing with todays troubling times.
So before you start jumping down my throat speak what is true and stop trashing the little guys and face the facts and write what you know and don't talk trash!
Only time will tell!

Gee whiz. Seems a little extreme in the commentary there Mr. Jacker. I disagree with you obviously. But what would I know? I've only got 10 years in the business, two full renovations and kickstarts, two good theatres, 2.5 years of running experience in the Houlton market, a real nice program that lets me know exactly what I've spent to date, and a pretty good handle on Houlton real estate. Perhaps to some it is over priced. It's not for free and that's for sure. If one seeks a fire sale then head elsewhere. Meanwhile, we're keeping the theatre in perfect condition and responding to interested parties every day.

Hold on! More pictures should be coming soon! I have nothing more to add to Mike's last post except to say that he knows what he's doing. He's been there and done that.

We had someone offer nearly that figure for a now-closed twin over here... cleared by major chain (about 2 miles away), worn-out projectors, mono sound, unfinished meeting space upstairs... from the sound of it, less a property than what's being discussed here.

Our real estate market is pretty much insane, too... so this doesn't seem shocking.

Whether the potential income can support the payments is another question. In the example in my town, it's already proven it can't
