Now, my newbie status is well recognised, so perhaps someone can educate me...is it a good thing when the studios see their DVD channel experiencing "sluggish performance"?

Hmmm, I 'm particularly partial to the final sentiment of the first article; [Amir] Malin says recent DVD releases like MGM's Be Cool and Sony's Hitch have underperformed as DVDs, causing him to contemplate whether the entire industry may be headed for a "seismic change".

Although the third paragraph of the second article pinging the price of movie tickets could prove to be controversial.

Personally I see these pointing to a number of things, but then it's not all about me. I'm curious at what others think about what's been written.
