I was wondering how many of you will be tuning in at 9:00 P.P. tonight (Mon), to catch the premier trailer for Peter Jacksons "King Kong" It will be on all the Universal owned channels.

I really liked the version done in the 70's, cant believe its been almost 30 years since the big apes been arounDo you see this as a good family film coming out in December ?

Thats the eastern time zone, I know it will be on channel 4 right after "Fear Factor" ends.

Well, that looks pretty good!!

There was a copy in the can with "War of the Worlds"

They also played it at the "Fantastic 4" screening.

I watched the trailer and I'm looking forward to seeing it. It goes without saying that the expectations for this film will be huge after LOR; but let's all sit tight. Remember Water World that Costner flub came on the coat tails of Dances With Wolves his great success.

Personally, I think the 1976 version is cinematic stinkweed.

A good friend said it best..."Jackson gets extra points for the setting and the casting, but the CGI Kong looks like just any other gorilla. Our Kong had personality...was a character."

I agree wholeheartedly. Think I'll go watch my laser disc (remember those!?) of the one and only, eighth wonder of the world...KING KONG!!!!!

I liked the trailer and although Kong looks more like Mighty Joe Young, I bet it will be a great action flick. It will be interesting to see how his tragic fate is played out, that will sum up the whole film I believe.

Nothing could top the original, but Peter Jackson clearly has a lot of respect for the 1933 version. It looks good -- even though I agree that the new Kong looks like Mighty Joe Young.

If it's half as good as the original, (which the Dino de Laurentis version wasn't) it'll still be worth seeing.
