I saw something on the “on eBay” page and it did not get any bids. Why?
Our industry is a very narrow market. A very small percentage of the world needs 35mm projectors, 2000 movie theatre seats, etc. These types of items are big purchases and big purchases require planning. Not everything will sell every time. The best way to list and be certain of selling at the best possible price is to have us promote your auction in advance so that people are made aware of an upcoming sale and can plan ahead.
I sold something for which there were only 3 bids and the sold price was very low.
Keep in mind: when you list something for sale “on eBay” you can set a reserve price which represents the minimum price that you will accept. You do not have to sell for too low a price that you will not accept. The best way to get a lot of bids is to promote your sale in advance. We can help do that.
My company is a traditional supplier and distributor to the exhibition industry. How can “On eBay” help my business?
Simple. Auction sales can help you clear your excess inventory. Sell something as a loss leader to bring in new customers to your company web site with a link. Use the sales as a marketing device to introduce new products to our industry and millions of daily viewers. Don’t forget: many of your competitors are marketing with eBay. Do you have an “eBay Store”? It’s easy and inexpensive.
I own a movie theatre. How can I use “On eBay”?
Get rid of all that excess stuff you have hanging around! Theatres are choking on “stuff” that might come in handy someday. One sheets, retired letters, old equipment, seats, etc. are finding buyers everyday which can put cash in your pocket. Need digital and video projection equipment, 35mm projectors, collectibles, gifts, concession stand equipment? Why pay retail? Need a new printer, copier, janitorial supplies, or office equipment? Sell tickets and passes to your theatres to interest, engage, and bring in new customers.
